On Friday 2nd February Haas launched 3D renders of its 2024 season car, the VF-24, despite the world of F1 being overtaken by the news that Hamilton will be going to Ferrari in 2025. This was done via their social media, with the first look at the actual car being on 11th February at the Shakedown at Silverstone. Its thought Nico Hulkenberg will be the driver.

The team have had a change of team boss this season, following the departure of Guenther Steiner. The previous director of engineering, Ayao Komatsu, has stepped into the role after being with the team since its beginnings in 2016. Haas finished last in the constructors championship last season with only 12 points in total.

Ayao Komatsu has been quoted as saying “Out of the gates in Bahrain, I still think we’re going to be towards the back of the grid,if not last.” This is due to the development of the VF-24 starting late and then stopping for 2 months while the updates for the upgrade in Austin were developed. Komatsu has a vision for the Vf-24 and is positive that they are on the right track.

Haas have stuck with the same colour scheme for the VF-24 as last seasons VF-23. There are some differences, black is the main colour of the livery, with a big emphasis on carbon fiber components. There is a USA flag on the nosecone to celebrate them being the only american team in F1. The suspension, power unit and gearbox are all supplied by Ferrari.
